We now come to the first article on the web site and as it is quite long will break it down into smaller units and comment on it.
We, the people who freely attend the House of Prayer in Achill, find it incredible that yet again we have to correct the same slanderous lies propagated by the media in Ireland against Christina Gallagher and her spiritual director Fr Gerard McGinnity, even though we have stated the truth behind these horrific and libelous allegations time and time again, all made without a shred of evidence or proof.
Note the the opening line, We, the people who freely attend the House of Prayer in Achill. It has the 1984 feel to it. It is in fact not the people but a small cohort of totally controlled people. One is Pat Coleman and a director who is the enforcer and future leader who is there to keep the Irish people from getting anywhere near Christina to ask, “Show us the money.” Again, the opposite of what is going on, “who freely attend the House of Prayer.” The conditioning and use of fear is so profound that one does not use the word freely when speaking about the HofP. We will again deconstruct whether we are asking horrific questions, or whether we are coming close to the truth of what is going on.
Sarah Mac Donald opens her article in the Irish Independent on 17 October 2014 by quoting a man no one at the House of Prayer has ever heard of, Mick Power, and describes him as an ‘ex-member’ of the House of Prayer. This is baffling as the House of Prayer is not a place one would have membership of – it is a religious centre of Catholic prayer situated on Achill Island and open to all people to come and go freely.
I assume we have another case of amnesia like in the case of Briege Hughes. They are involved, members or attenders when things are going ok, but as soon as they are a problem they no longer exist? We note the HofP makes much of Sarah Macdonald’s use of the term “member.” They try to overcome their problem by trying to address Mick’s involvement by saying he was never a member, and as they do not have membership by definition Mick Power was never involved. Pathetic. He attended, was heavily involved, but saw for himself how Fr McGinnity was deeply involved in fundraising and was disgusted by the way Betty and Michael Morrissey were treated. Also his own story with his child is very instructive. Read further under here about this:
Last month he had given personal testimony concerning the activities he observed before he left.
We are here publishing his response to Fr McGinnity’s fraudulent claims made in his interview with the Irish Independent.
Neither has a Mick Power ever worked at the House of Prayer. He is completely unknown there, yet Ms Mac Donald considers him a reliable witness to bring forward to condemn the House of Prayer and Christina Gallagher. Her heavily biased article brings no other such witness to balance his condemnation with the truth. Perhaps she could have spoken to the young man from Dublin whose two brothers died through abuse of drugs. If she had she would have discovered how he himself was instantly freed from his own drug addiction while attending the Saturday night prayer vigil at the House of Prayer in Achill in 2012. He gave testimony to his life’s transformation thanks to Our Lady Queen of Peace, and Her House of Prayer to the members of the public gathered on the 21st anniversary of the opening of the House of Prayer Achill in July 2014. Sarah Mac Donald could have spoken to any of 800 others who have received great blessings and given testimony to their healings and conversion through the prayers of Christina Gallagher and Our Lady’s House of Prayer. But she did not. Why not, we have to wonder?
Nowhere did Ms Macdonald claim Mick Power worked at the HofP. The reason for the methodology in regard to Christina Gallagher is that like the subject of my thesis Debra Burslem of the MMM you are not dealing with a normal Catholic but a cultist Catholic who totally refuses to submit to her ordinary and to the Catholic Church. Through Houdini style convoluted arguments she claims she is genuine. So why not take the testimony of an insider? Because they are unreliable and their testimony is tainted by undue influence. If the HofP is genuine all they have to do is to call a press conference and answer questions directly. Also if she would undertake to submit her work to her bishop we would have a starting point for a genuine dialogue to begin. There is not a hope in hell this will happen.
Central to Ms Mac Donald’s double page spread attack on Christina Gallagher is the €1.6 million profit made by the House of Prayer in 2012. The figures quoted are those published by the House of Prayer itself and we, the people who freely support the House of Prayer, are only too delighted knowing that it continues to operate despite the hostility generated against it by certain parts of the media in Ireland, hell-bent on its destruction. As the financial figures are published each year, it is clear for all to see that the €1.6 million profit includes all assets of the House of Prayer including the value of the building itself, all stock, all equipment including the costly restaurant equipment and at the end of each year any funds go straight back into the running of the House of Prayer itself, which has enormous annual overheads. With hundreds of people in attendance every Saturday, the insurance bill alone in any one year is in the region of £20,000. Most importantly however and contrary to Ms Mac Donald’s suggestion, the finances of the House of Prayer are operated by its own Board of Directors entirely separate to Christina Gallagher.
Note again this 1984 speak, we, the people who freely support the House of Prayer. This is not a genuine Catholic organisation in fact it is not even recognised as a charitable organisation. It lost its charitable status likely because it is not clear what charitable work it is doing. Also there are issues with the Directors who are now the most fanatic people left in the organisation. I have talked to former directors who were hounded when they left and one who had a nearby tornado pass close to his property was told it was the judgement of God. If they were a genuine Catholic organisation they would submit their statutes to their bishop and allow for all the books to be examined by the Archdiocese of Tuam.
Christina Gallagher does not own any of the Houses of Prayer in the US or Mexico and has NEVER benefitted financially from any of them as they are all in Charitable Trusts under a Board of Directors.
Could we ask you who are your accountants and legal representation? Would it be true that Arthur Cox represents you?
Now we have the old chestnut of putting the leader outside the legal loop, but you have a problem. In the States John Rooney who used to be involved and whose name was on the Malahide house before Jim Lynn took over is in charge of the trust over there. Now that he has switched on the light and left Christina it is likely the properties over in the States are in legal limbo? Can you answer this simple question? Are you recognised by one single Catholic Diocese in the USA or Mexico? What evidence can you show that Christina has not benefited from these houses. Because you will not submit to legitimate authority all I can see are people I meet who tell me of the purchase of expensive antiques in Dublin, massive investments in very expensive statues and other garden salvage in Hillsborough Co. Down. Flights all around Europe. Painting and decorating beyond the norm in houses. Cameras and spying equipment, BMW cars and now other models. Jacuzzis’ like there is no tomorrow. Expensive handbags, clothes and jewelery. Paranoid and reclusive behaviour like building walls and putting up covers over gates so the public can’t observe your lifestyle totally at variance with your claim to needing nothing as a true messenger of God. You have become a messer for God.
The totally bogus claim that these properties are necessary to avoid stalking a laughable and bogus. They can only invite derision.
Ms Mac Donald’s report implies that all these houses form a vast €multi-million fortune owned by Christina and this is TOTALLY FALSE.
Who owns them and if she does not own them why is buying them? Do you think the public is stupid. Also Fr McGinnity willfully and with aforethought knows all this and because he is as weak as water will see no evil and hear no evil about his spiritual seducer.
The media have continually put forward this impression that Christina is amassing a great fortune in order to discredit her and thereby discredit the work Heaven is doing through her. Yes, it is the Messages from Our Lady and Jesus that are under attack here. Those behind this attack do not want the people at large to hear these warnings from Jesus or the pleas of His Mother to convert and thus receive His offers of protection.
There are no messages, this a completely constructed reality created in the mind of a woman who has amassed riches and lives like a queen. She is under attack because her story does not stack up. She is a laughing stock and as a result the whole Catholic Church in Ireland is made to look like a a load of ijeets. They have lost it not because as an article in the Irish Catholic penned by Archbishop Neary suggests as a result of secularism but because they refuse to be Catholic in regard to this problem of the HofP which he has control over.
With regard to the other houses we reiterate our statement of 12 November 2013. The entire statement and follow-up of 26th November can be read in full here. Mrs Gallagher owns only one house while the one she previously used is for sale because she was tantalized in it due to the media’s constant harassment through lies and false accusation and the sale of that property will be of help and gain to the House of Prayer in Achill. This pattern of repeated harassment and stalking drove her from each successive house, selling the one she lived in to purchase another in the vain hope of gaining personal safety – a persecution which reached its most reckless extreme of life endangerment when a tabloid printed a picture placing Mrs. Gallagher’s head within a rifle sighting!
This is quite laughable and paranoid which is not surprising. By living without the proper support of the Catholic Church she only can see things through a tsunami of delusion.
She was first driven from her house at Newport (which she had purchased with the royalties from her own books and tapes with her personal money.) A man from the US hired a film crew from the UK and broke into her private property to film. When confronted by the Gardai this crew lied saying they had sent their film on ahead to an address in Dublin which was a bogus address discovered by the Guards. Instead the tape is believed to have been taken back to the US by those involved.
Which book sales? How many books were sold? Must have been a best seller. Give us a break. What is all this about? Likely due to her secret life and not living the life of prayer she should she is being checked out. Please let us know more about his film crew. Would love to see the material. The general public view her as scam and so her defence which might have been believed in a more credulous age is now totally viewing her from a Mr Bean perspective.
As a result of this outrageous invasion of privacy, we, the people, felt it necessary to put in place a protection for her. We did this freely and knowingly and we legally declared so in writing. This house acquired by her in Malahide suffered similar invasions of privacy through the relentless Sunday World campaign having a photographer take a flight over the house as related by Jim Gallagher himself and then printing a full page picture of the property. This not only brought a further procession of tantalising stalkers to the house but also rendered Mrs Gallagher’s life and safety at great risk by suggesting falsely that she had antiques and possibly cash in the house. She has neither and, in fact, dislikes antiques. The campaign of hatred has been ruthless in turning Mrs Gallagher into a ready target for any gullible reader or hearer of this despicable material.
You would think she was a rock star who really was a sensation. It is clear we are dealing with paranoia and we the people have bought into this delusional stuff.
Among the 800 testimonies of healings, conversions and great graces received are five healings of serious and near death illnesses professionally investigated and found by medical consultants to be ‘medically, scientifically and psychologically inexplicable and far exceeding the proof routinely accepted by the Church’. A number of them have been recorded giving public witness in thanksgiving at the House of Prayer in Achill to the crowds gathered there.
Until this submitted to the Church not to the pope, but your local bishop this is just pr spin.
We are aware that the Church has received the full reports of these medically approved healings but sadly and painfully responded only with the remark, ‘the investigation is over’.
Could you first let us know who your medical authority is? His credentials etc. Hopefully not Michael Ankatell?. The Archdiocese has completed its investigation. Now they need to go onto condemn and excommunicate you and discipline Fr McGinnity in conjunction with Armagh.
What makes this response most deeply wounding is not a rejection of Christina Gallagher but of the Lord God who in His Love and mercy brought these about.
Give us a break, this has as much to do with God than a Gucci bag.
This attack reaches into every corner of Christina Gallagher’s life. She receives hate calls on the phone, at her gate, her home is broken into, her phones and network are hacked into, she is followed, spied on, stalked and threatened wherever she goes.
This must be a miracle as how does her private number get out? Have you reported this to the unit in Gardai involved with malicious calls?
A helicopter has flown very slowly within the garden and over the property that Christina owned for the best part of an hour, coming low down and very close to the house. On three different occasions this has taken place.
Which of the numerous properties are you referring to? Ballina, Enniscrone Road, Newport, Malahide, City West. Sorry I am getting dizzy watching that helicopter. What were they doing trying to get behind the walls and gates to see what new assets you have obtained,
Sarah Mac Donald chose 5.30 am at the departure gate at Dublin Airport, when Christina was travelling with a group on a pilgrimage to San Giovanni Rotondo, to approach her for an interview! and then in her article disingenuously states “but she refused to comment”!
I thought it was closer to 4:30. Now look at that photograph again. Sarah by going out to try to interview Christina by that one photograph has made the public aware of what this visionary stands for. So it was quite legitimate. You won’t talk to the media or defend or answer questions, so what else are they supposed to do? Read Pravda, or look on Heterodox Achill website for answers from the Great Leader of all the people?
There were a number of seats block-booked on the plane and on the return flight it was discovered that two of these seats had been mysteriously changed. Upon investigation by the tour operator it was stated to him in reply, “these seats were tampered with”. To the complete bewilderment of the tour operator the two original seats were still vacant! and he arranged that they be immediately restored.
What is this all about? You guys were totally in charge of this flight so if you mean the booking for the seats was tampered with rather than the seats, which gives the impression of a security issue then I am not sure what Joe Walsh had to do with it. You are hardly suggesting Sarah was going to dress up as a nun and try to join the flight are you?
Emerging from the arrivals gate in Dublin airport the Sunday World pounced on Christina with their cameras, pushing pilgrims aside, harassing her and them, photographing and filming without her permission or that of the airport authorities. At the same time, when security at airports worldwide is at its highest, the airport police at the Dublin Airport arrivals gate were notably absent, which strikes one as strange.
Generally the security problem is as you enter an airport not when you arrive home. You guys must have had a lot of coordination as Christina nearly stayed in the baggage section for an hour.
Strenuous efforts have been made too over the last number of years by so-called cult expert Mike Garde, to bring about the Church’s condemnation of Christina Gallagher and to discredit Fr McGinnity and prevent him from travelling to the House of Prayer.
This absolutely, correct and I have raised with Tuam and Armagh the need to act to stop this carry on from continuing. Not only have family members approached the Papal Nuncio and the Pope but up till now we have received no satisfactory response. The lack of action has allowed a Hof P Empire to emerge without proper supervision. I am hoping the Taoiseach in whose constituency this problem is to be found would also get involved.
Ms Mac Donald quotes from what Cardinal Sean Brady former Archbishop of Armagh on 1st August 2014 said of this in correspondence to them; “I am not in possession of evidence that Father McGinnity is breaking the law – either civil or canonical. We do live in a country where citizens enjoy the right to freedom of movement and in a Church where there are many different ministries.” Regarding their claim that the House of Prayer is heretical he comments thus; “In our tradition such pronouncements are made by the Congregation for the Doctrine of Faith in Rome. I am not aware of any such pronouncement being made.” The Cardinal also discloses that himself and Fr McGinnity have often discussed the matter of the House of Prayer and Christina Gallagher. About Fr McGinnity the Cardinal comments; “What I do know is that when I visit Father McGinnity’s parish, I find a congregation there that is among the most attentive, prayerful and devout in this diocese and I am reminded of the words: ‘By their fruits you shall know them’.”
You are absolutely, correct in this regard and I will now give links to my responses to my correspondence with cardinal. Even though he has left office he is still morally responsible for addressing the issues we are here dealing with.
IN RESPONSE TO:
Ms Sarah MacDonald
who conveyed questions in writing to Mrs. Christina Gallagher,
Mrs Gallagher responds, “Rather than communicate directly with you, it may be advisable for me –on the basis of my previous experiences with journalists- to reply to your six questions on this website;
Yes a pattern of not facing the public and hiding behind a web site that no one in the HofP really reads as you frown on anyone reading anything other than Ireland’s Eye:
1. Regarding your statement that “there are calls for you and Fr.McGinnity to be excommunicated over claims that your practices and messages are heretical”, I refer you to read the reply of Cardinal Brady in relation to mention of the word ‘heretical’.
It is not surprising you used that quote, perhaps my reply to him might suffice?
You refer to the House of Prayer as heretical.
Yes I do. I believe that the messages and her lifestyle are in breach of Catholic teaching. Also she has made people pay for salvation by purchasing particular icons and she indicates
that people need to connect to her personally to be safe from the judgement to come. This is simony.Have you studied her teachings which are Manichean and make Mary the Mother of God a very judgemental Figure? We have no emphasis on the public teaching of the Church centred on the Eucharist. Why do people have to go by bus every Saturday bypassing their own parishes?
Because they believe Achill is where the real Catholic experience is to be found.
Ask any parish priest in the country and you will find very few of those involved with Achill are really grounded in their parish.
So it is my judgement that this movement is not Catholic, but I also believe it is participating in the wholesale fraud and misrepresentation and is targeting a vulnerable category of persons the elderly.
In our tradition, such a pronouncement would normally come from the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith in Rome.
You are correct in this. But do I believe the AB MN is now negligent having found that their was no substance to her claims 17 years ago and to not have referred her case to the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith in Rome.
The faithful has been treated with contempt and by your failure to discipline Fr McGinnity you have brought the Catholic Church in Ireland into public contempt.
I am not aware of any such pronouncement being made.
You are again right about this, but the people to have brought this to the attention of the appropriate authority is the AB MN. He is said it is unrecognised, but has not gone beyond that point. This means he is not treated seriously and Christina has the ability to continue her pillage of Irish Catholics. Before moving onto your next point may I present you with the conclusions of a Canadian Canon lawyer who was involved with Le Febvre’s movement and who was involved in advising people around the Legion of Christ group. He gives very clear guidance in regard to these new movements:
I have been appalled by the lack of canonical response to this group and believe there are many defects which have not been addressed. I myself studied canon law under your fellow county man Fr Cunningham, but had no sense of its relevance before reading the article above.
2. Regarding your remark about fund-raising, there is no such thing as elderly people (or any persons) being pressurized at the House of Prayer to give money or otherwise.
I believe Mick Power’s testimony concerning the Morrissey’s suggests a different reality.
3. There is no such thing as threatening messages of destruction in relation to the construction of another House of Prayer in the US. In fact, the request relating to the establishment of Houses of Prayer ended in 2006!
Again Mick Power will testify under oath in this regard.
4. As regards annual returns for the House of Prayer, these are publicly available and have, incidentally, been published by your own newspaper every year! It appears that the House of Prayer is the only company which has an annual report published on it, for no apparent reason…
Are you suggesting that the accounts of the HofP are the only ones the Independent publishes?
5. We fail to understand what you are referring to regarding ‘Christina Gallagher, Fr. McGinnity, the House of Prayer and a schism from the Church’, because Fr.McGinnity fulfills all his parish duties and Christina Gallagher receives the sacraments daily; the House of Prayer is a private House of Prayer and no-one is in disobedience to the archbishop so no group of people gathering to pray together should be classified in the way you do. It is, on the contrary, the baptismal right of all people everywhere to exercise their right to pray, as the Lord Himself says, “Where two or three are gathered together in My Name, I am there among them”.
Fr McGinnity is not wanted in the Tuam Archdiocese. Whether Christina receives the Eucharist or not is irrelevant. Does she attend her local parish Church wherever she is? Or is she stalked in Church as well? It is a private house in that she has refused to submit her mission to her ordinary. The reason Fr McGinnity is away from his parish is due to the negligence of the Cardinal and now Archbishop Eamon Martin. If he does not grapple with this issue soon his period in office will end in failure before it has hardly begun. Also Seamus Kirk TD is on the Parish Council in Knockbridge and as a public representative and Catholic has a duty to do something about Fr McGinnity’s involvement with this scam.
6. As already stated the archbishop received reports of four medically approved healings. As for his decision to have already closed the investigation or ‘committee of enquiry’ these medically approved healings were handed to him after the ‘enquiry’ was closed. Now it is up to him.”
The enquiry is over you are not recognised, but the Archbishop seems to lack the courage to now go on and condemn the HofP, and move to have Christina excommunicated. Due to previous failure it seems that the only way forward now is for the whole Episcopal Conference, the Papal Nuncio and the Pope to be involved. Possibly the new envoy to the Holy See could address this directly on behalf of the citizens of Ireland.
