Seminar on Cultism at Andrews University gets off to a good start

Mike Garde was hosted by a diverse group of academics at Andrews University today. The view of cultism was a novel one and one that will take time to agree on and to digest. We were offered some interesting insights from Seventh Day Adventist history. DI awaits a response from those present to see if this exploration should be expanded beyond this initial meeting or whether it can be extended in the future.

Mike came away sensing a genuine spirit of enquiry and was very grateful for the time busy academics gave to this subject

One Response

  1. This is very encouraging, an interesting subject to debate and necessary for educational purposes rather than avoid because of diverse religious belief systems. How else are we to gauge what is harmful or what isn’t in cultic groups/churches/organisations?
