Campaign of deception and lies has been continued

Media campaigners seem intent only on vilification and incitement to hatred

Last month, we reported on the latest media onslaught against Mrs. Christina Gallagher and the House of Prayer, Achill, and this has been continuing since November 3 last. In response to the latest attacks on Mrs. Gallagher in the Sunday World, in another TV3 programme and on the Dialogue Ireland website, a further statement was issued on November 26 on the House of Prayer website.

sada

“As directors of the House of Prayer and as representatives of the many people who freely choose to attend the House of Prayer, we find it very strange that Jim Gallagher and Dialogue Ireland persist not only in stalking Mrs. Gallagher, but in displaying such an obsessive and hate-filled manner as they do so.

“Why do they continue to attack Mrs. Gallagher when it is we – the directors and representatives of the people – who responded on the Internet to their false allegations? We provide what we provide because we respect Mrs. Gallagher for what we have witnessed – we have direct experience of the truth and the facts of which we speak. What we do with our own money is our choice and ours alone; just as it is Jim Gallagher’s business what he may choose to do with his.

“Some of us were present at the House of Prayer, for example, when a young horse-trainer from Hartlepool was healed on the spot, restored to health before our eyes! His progressive and irreversible paralysis disappeared instantaneously and the inoperable injuries were instantly healed. His medical consultants fully verified his cure, but declared there was no scientific explanation for it.

“More recently, we were present at the House of Prayer when a young Dublin man, was instantly healed there of drug addiction and returned to the daily practice of his faith. In his moving testimony, he described how two of his brothers had actually died through such drug abuse.”

The statement goes on to describe how Jim Gallagher’s antipathy towards Christina had risen “to the extreme and reckless pitch of endangering her life by depicting her head within a rifle-sight and placing a weapon in the heading. “If he were only to apply a similar energy to ascertaining the truth and conveying the extraordinary good that is evident in the fruitfulness of the work entrusted to her…..! Over 700 such testimonies can be read in the files at the House of Prayer,” it continues.

“We, whom Mr. Gallagher condescends to class as “gullible” – though we are far from gullible – know what we have directly witnessed,” the statement goes on, suggesting that it is Mr. Gallagher who is the gullible one, by deliberately blinding himself to the professional evidence available, concerning the fruits of the House of Prayer, and insisting on repeating the same old misrepresentations and lies.

“We have been with Mrs.Gallagher when we witnessed nasty tactics directed towards her house in Malahide – not just stalking, but stalking marked with a depth of obsessive behaviour. We cannot but ask is there any place where Mrs. Gallagher can be afforded justice, in the face of relentless incitement to hatred by Jim Gallagher, Dialogue Ireland and tv3?” the statement asks.

“Mrs. Gallagher has only ever asked people to pray the Rosary daily and fast (on tea and bread) one day a week on a day of their choice (something, incidentally, which the Holy Father, Pope Francis recently also invited everyone in the Church to do, in union with him, for the situation in Syria). Yet what appears in Jim Gallagher’s article and on tv3 is a total deceit – an absurd inference that Mrs. Gallagher could be thereby responsible for anyone ‘losing their body weight’ or ‘praying a hundred Rosaries per day’. This is so preposterous as not to merit comment.

“When Mrs. Gallagher is present at the House of Prayer, she merely prays the Rosary and does not meet people privately, personally or otherwise. The Rosary she always prays slowly so that people know what they are saying and therefore that they pray it not for any obsessive or compulsive reason.

“The prayers we pray at the House of Prayer are the regular, universally used prayers of our Catholic Church, known and recognised as such by any practising Catholic. One can only wonder, then, why Jim Gallagher, Dialogue Ireland and tv3 go on deceiving people by their mindless repetition of the phrase ‘cult-like behaviour’ in relation to Our Lady Queen of Peace House of Prayer?

“It highlights the reckless urge to destroy Mrs. Gallagher and underlines yet again the question, what could make people consistently deny and distort truth, repeat falsities and become obsessed with hatred, in this pursuit? We cannot but wonder in light of truth who, in fact, it is that is acting irrationally in all of this?” “We repeat that it is not Mrs. Gallagher who is posting this statement on the website but we, the directors of the House of Prayer, and representatives of the people who come to pray the prayers of the Catholic Church,” the statement concludes.

THE UNANSWERED QUESTIONS

When one looks back at the unprecedented nature of the media attacks on Mrs. Christina Gallagher and her spiritual director over the past number of years, several unanswered questions immediately come to mind. Particularly about where the real backing for this campaign is coming from. Is there someone or some group paying for all of this? Why would a Sunday tabloid spend years campaigning against an innocent person, who has sought only to pass on something she has received to christian believers, many of whom have greatly benefitted from this? And why would these media people seek, not only to vilify her and destroy her good name, but go so far as to endanger her life?

Why would a separate website, Dialogue Ireland, without any apparent links to the Sunday newspaper, simultaneously highlight in toto, every detail from day one, of what appeared in the Sunday World, immediately after it appeared, and become, in effect, an adjunct in this campaign? What are the connections, particularly since the self-styled “cult expert” Michael Garde, who controls the website, seems to play a central role?

Throughout the Sunday World’s years of campaigning, and even before, Mr. Garde who was highlighted on the 2011 tv3 programme as a “cult expert” – has been to the fore in constantly attacking and seeking to vilify Fr. McGinnity and Mrs. Gallagher. Mr. Garde has portrayed himself as trying to “protect” the Catholic church, (though not himself a Catholic).

But on his Dialogue Ireland website, using every opportunity to attack Christina Gallagher and the content of the messages given to her, appears his primary objective. He has likewise sought to belittle and undermine an excellent priest, Fr. Gerard McGinnity, even in his own diocese and parish, and has done this even on local radio stations, when anyone spoke positively about the House of Prayer, Mrs. Gallagher or Fr. McGinnity.

What is Mr. Garde’s raison d’etre, given his constant website repetition of every Sunday World article attacking the House of Prayer, and the prominence of Mr. Garde in the tv3 “cult” programme? And especially the fact that this programme aimed at damaging Mrs. Gallagher and the House of Prayer, has been repeated so many times on tv3 or on the sister channel e3, since it first appeared? What is behind all this? As has been said before, it is difficult to understand how any television channel could see it as sensible to repeat, up to a dozen times, the same programme months after month, unless this is commercially beneficial to them?

It was in late September 2011, that the tv3 channel first broadcast the programme purporting to be about “Secret Cults”. In fact, it was little more than an exercise in black propaganda and dishonesty, and seemed deliberately planned and designed to falsely depict Christina Gallagher and her spiritual director, Fr. Gerard McGinnity as involved in a cult, and to brand the House of Prayer, its supporters and the prayer programme there, as cult-like.

During the days before that tv3 programme was first broadcast, representatives of the House of Prayer made real efforts to fully and openly engage with tv3. Naturally, in light of realising that the programme makers had seen fit to use hidden cameras and microphones as well as deceptive tactics in compiling material, it was felt prudent to include legal advice in dealing with them ,but it was made clear that House of Prayer people were willing to fully address any questions from the TV3 team. After being left waiting for a response for close to 24 hours„ TV3 finally declined this offer and availability, and the reasonable conditions suggested, and disallowed any participation in what was a totally one-sided presentation. There was no fairness or balance, nor any interest in presenting the truth.

In hindsight, it seems clear that TV3 and those who produced the “Secret Cults” programme never had any intention of allowing the truth to be heard. The programme and the constant repeats amount to no more than a thinly disguised television “support show” for the Sunday World’s campaign of allegations, lies, defamation and slander against Mrs. Gallagher and the House of Prayer. It similarly availed of nameless and faceless detractors, or self proclaimed “arch foes” of the House of Prayer, without a shred of proof, to make extremely damaging allegations against Christina Gallagher, including serious criminal accusations based only on hearsay and rumour.

On the television programme and more recent shows also, accusations were again allowed to be repeated against Mrs Gallagher, without any opportunity to redress such false claims. So many unanswered questions.

It must be sadder to be so handicapped mentally, that one’s version of the truth is The Sunday World ….which a colourer person associated with Abundant Life said “wouldnt even be acceptable as toilet paper in my homeland”.
And then there is the sympathy for “Carol”….and her “mammy” who may not even exist….but we have seen all this before….and for every “Carol and her mammy” there are a hundred voices which will verify that the whole Confraternity knew and had verified such at least twice in statements required by lawyers to prove the intention and beneficiary of various fundraising efforts….so “Carol’s mammy”…even if she did exist wouldnt have a snowball’s chance in hell of getting any refund of donation given 5-8 years ago….
As Cleopatra said before she expired….”All was very well done”

Sometime soon I’m going to write a story for DI….a true story about Old Jimmy Bogle from The Bog Road Strabane and his theory….

  7. Angie and DI, I support the HofP and do not hate anyone and am not under any influence whatsoever. I find your representation of people who support the HofP insulting. I was pleased to read this article published in “Ireland’s Eye”. The SW cannot be relied on as truthful, we all know that and neither can the insidious comments made on a blog. I understand that there are a great number of people who will stand up, challenge and oppose the version of the HofP presented by the SW and the now discredited dialogueireland. There is an absolute throng of people who are witnesses to the life-saving physical healings, who have submitted written testimony and are waiting to attend the interviews held by the proper ecclesiastical investigations. In the meantime the “UNANSWERED QUESTIONS” section of this article, for me, hits the nail on the head.

  8. The piece in Ireland’s eye is the same old story from the House of Prayer, they portray themselves as the victims that are caught up in a conspiracy against them. all lies, christina gallagher has lied all along to her followers, she uses undue influence to extract money from them, then she buys expensive propertiesfor her and her family. its been revealed again and again, 8 properties, no source of income. Its a pity this drivle ends up in Irelands eye but its only self serving for the writer, the tide has turned. the sunday world have embedded the images of christina’s lavish houses into the publics mind, (derived from donations from Carols mother and many many others). The writer of this piece is suffering from paranoia, Christinas paranoia, why dont they take the opportunity to be more open? participate in some TV programme about them? but my guess is this would reveal that they have nothing to add and nothing new to say. the whole thing relies on the follower ‘getting it’ and everyone else not ‘getting it’

I know, my mother wasn’t, and she donated 50,000 of hard earned money, A life time savings, to save us, her children and the family, doing the work of our Lady. Her Cheque was made payable to the fund you mention. it is our hope that she will let us follow this up, she is reluctant, but of course, disappointed.

  14. All wrong Una and Mr Mr Garde….Christina Gallagher was donated a gift of the property at Malahide for her liftime. She could at any time end that arrangement and take what was given to her…a lifetime value…out of that gigt…upon which ALL taxes and duties weere paid by The confraternity of Our Lady Queen of Peace.
So despite all the bile and ignorance voiced by Dialogueireland and its BIG troll Angie who wears Mike Gardes balls….all that DI writes is false, ignorant, and requires prayer and compassion…because this team is lost in their ego and hate..
Repent now. Repent when there is still a little bit of time….NOBODY connected to the House of Prayer HATES anyone….NO…we pray for everyone, in the Church, Diosesce, Country…those who pray with us and those who inflict pain and insult upon us..and because this iswhat Jesus asked….and we will stay true to His commandements and to His

The team of Angie and Mike are a joke, a sad joke, a pathetic joke…but a team that seems not to know the meaning of the words fairness nor compassion.
Mike Garde seeks “truth” from the sewer that is the Sunday World Newspaper.
So that is his level of journalism….In such cases where one has descended so deep, there is no recovery…it is a one way trip downwards.
The House of Prayer WILL prevail. There is nothing MG nor the SW tabloid can do to prevent that, and indeed in their own insane way, they are helping to spread the message that Our Lady Queen of Peace House of Prayer exists…it will exist when much of what exists today lies in smouldering ruin and famine….but…The people of Ireland have been warned, and given the chance….even ONE visit to Our Lady’s House can save them and their families….that is the sincerity and the truth of the message …..

Dialogue Ireland intends to reply to this article in a detailed manner once this programme has aired tonight Wednesday 13th November 2013. We hope that one of the news programmes can facilitate a public debate on this topic. We note that the House of Prayer has a tendency to shout loud about not being heard but never make themselves available for interview or to debate in public their concerns. One senses that these denials are meant to give the impression to their members that they are open. Nothing could be further from the truth. Each house discovered elicits more bizarre explanations and rationalisations than the one given earlier. We note this time that Christina is now acknowledging that Malahide was/is her property. More to follow………………….

  20. Typical House of Prayer response. Unable to explain the origin of Christina Gallagher’s wealth, it can only attack the people who uncover her wealth. Makes me very sad to think that people believe this article without questioning it. They would need to be very influenced by the House of Prayer.

Why would Dialogue Ireland ignore cult activity in the House of Prayer when there is good reason to investigate allegations? Why allow members of this cult to continue supporting Gallagher and her family live the life of luxury while she plays the poor mouth?

The answer is very simple. It is because of undue influence and the danger to mental health posed by Gallagher and the public have a right to know that the Catholic Church does not accept this cult as being part of the Catholic Church. TV3 are doing a good job by repeating and adding new findings.
