Misattribution: John Boyle’s view of Tony Quinn

BoyleSports A word document
Managing Director
John Boyle

John has been involved with Tony Quinn for a number of years now. I have heard a lot about him and he sounds like he could be Ireland’s Bill Gates if he could get the monkey off his back. He is caught in a moral dilemma because you can hardly call gambling an activity that enhances the nation’s moral fibre or adds to its development. It rather tends to play to one’s self interest and is focused on taking a chance to make more… In this way it is a sucker for Tony Quinn as he is about cash and grab rather than making a contribution to the life of the nation.

Anyway I wanted to check out John’s claim that it was through doing Tony’s courses that he was able to develop his business. In other words he attributes to TQ what he has become which I was interested to check out. My thesis is that he misattributes his success to Quinn. So I put a call through to him and look forward to see if we can meet and then publish the interview… if he replies.

I understand John was going through problems, was very vulnerable and found that TQ’s Educo system is what pulled him through, but not only that but that he suggests that TQ is the source of all his success. I believe John came under such strong conditioning that he now does not see his own gifts as what got him where he is today. His dependency on Quinn has got him to reshape his mind to fit it in with input from Quinn. Quinn like the DDR, North Korea or other self centred leaders does not have an entrepreneurial bone in his body, rather he can only drain people of their lives, their resources and spirits and then he spits them out. This is what he did with poor Vincent Harford who I met in unusual circumstances back in 2001. I invited Tony to a debate on his Educo system at a Conference we were holding. Instead of saying yes or no Vincent who was running the business at the time threatened me with the police and kicked me out of Eccles Street. He then wrote threatening letters to my patrons.

Here is some of the literature on the subject of misattribution, see what you think?
