Irvine Grey has written a unique thesis about the Two by Twos, and today he was interviewed by Seamus Martin on Tipp FM. He is a Baptist and has studied this group in great detail.

This time last year 2012 we received a lot of interest in this group and featured the testimony of a former member. The Director also entered in a dialogue with a worker which currently is dormant, but this interesting conversation between Seamus and Irvine will assist to make a group pretty unknown in Ireland better known to the general public.

The director received a call from the programme, but was unaware that Irvine had been on. So his interview was a little off topic as he did not have an awareness of what had come before. He tried to focus on the fact that Ireland has very unclear ideas around the issue of Religion. In Ireland the census confuses Religion with a Confession or Denomination of a Religion. It is clear that the media, government and the general public talk about Religion when they are talking about the Christian Religion and they call the Church of Ireland for example a Religion, rather than a Communion, Confession or Denomination of Christianity.

When you have this lack of clarity it is easy to understand why it is difficult to categorise a group like the Two by Two’s.

Just a small correction. Last I heard Irvine Grey was not a two-by-two unless something has changed.
Where did you read he was a member on this post, unless you implied that from the word about?

I’d imagine that the heading, “two-by-two’s irvine grey” is what anonymous1 is referring to. It reads as though irvine is a member.

The email I received from you was headed “The Two by Two’s Irvine Grey” lacking the colon in your byline, and I took it as I read it.
A post I read on a 2×2 bulletin board has the same issue.
You must have missed the update on that. It has been corrected and Irving has stated he is not a Two by Two’
I wonder why Irvine Grey thinks that old people, leaving workers aside, who have had minimal or no salary all their lives should not receive Old Age Security. He seems to think that only those who have had a good income should be entitled to it.
