I am so relieved this has come out. What Mr Boyle is up to is nothing less than harrassment in the workplace and the law should be protecting the employees there. Employees are being told they have to attend these sessions with (Removed) Georgina Dolan and people who have expressed resistance to it have been advised it would be (Removed) very unwise (Removed). Rather than doing any good for his company, he is making an even bigger ass of himself than people already believe him to be and distracting employees from their real work not only during the time they have to endure these sessions away from their desks, but the entire workforce can talk about nothing else. Everyone is whispering what they really think of him and her and most people are already making their own plans to leave and get out of it just as soon as they possibly can. Really there’s wiser locked up and it is a huge insult to the intelligence of his highly skilled workforce. Nice one Mr Boyle – is that what you hoped to achieve? This big investment intended to help staff as he says, has them boiling with anger and resentment instead. On the one hand he declares the big investment (waste of money) being made in (Removed) and on the other hand he demotivates the staff with more news of yet more pay freezes and cancelled bonuses. He has everybody wondering – what the hell is this (Removed) going to come up with next and they are all worried about their jobs. He will most certainly lose a lot more than he will gain by this disastrous association with Georgina Dolan and most of that will be his very best employees. Watch this space!

I too am very concerned about what is happening at Boylesports. I don’t work for Boylesports myself, but I know some of the staff very well and also have relations working there. (Removed). As I understand it, if any of the staff refuse to attend these meetings ran by Georgina Dolan, they will be disciplined and maybe lose their jobs.

It seems to me if the staff were given the choice they would probably not attend but unfortunately Quinn and his disciples know that because of the economy jobs are hard to come by and most people are only staying at Boylesports because of the lack of jobs elsewhere.
Having said all of that, I must take my hat off to Tony Quinn, what a brilliant way to attempt to get new people to join his cult, by brainwashing them in the work place and calling his recruitment drive “staff training”. Watch out staff at Boylesports he’s coming after your family jewels!!!!John

I totally agree with the last 2 comments, the staff are not only totally demoralised but genuinely frightened. (Removed) The atmosphere in the place is absolutely terrible at the minute. 3 years of pay freezes while he claims to be having the best results of his career in the Racing Post and no investment in staff or infrastructure. All Tony Quinn nonsense like If you act successful you will be successful. (Removed) They want senior staff members to do one on one course with Georgina now. There’s already been a huge exodus of staff from Boylesports, many as a direct result of this and many more will follow.

She’s apparently giving everyone in the company a grade which will affect their future with the company. It hasn’t been explained on what basis people are being judged (certainly nothing to do with their work performance or career experience) and what professional credentials she has to imbue her with the authority to judge anyone. This is very unsettling for everyone and it is very disrespectful to his employees to treat them in this way. (Removed)

Even the best of them go bad once they’ve crossed that line. How about everyone shouting NO when he mentions ‘staff training’? Since the word spreads quickly about what is happening I doubt he’ll have people asking for employment unless they think they’re immune to hypnosis. I get very suspicious when I hear anything about stress relief. Does Gorgina give relaxation sessions? The one on one’s give me the creeps just thinking about it. I had one of them with another TQ worker and found myself doing something I would not have done before and I consider myself intelligent. If you value your mental health you need to put a stop to this so called training. Stay true to yourselves!

John Boyle will eventually bring his own company down. He considers his company in terms of a small corner shop instead of an international one. The people who work there obviously have no voice to put forward

The guy has surrounded himself with yes men in the past few years. No one can say no as John is a genius and if they disagree they clearly are wrong. Im all for self belief but the guys gone over the edge. Worst business man I’ve ever delt with, his company was built by the people employed there not by JB. Though he’s convinced himself its all his and Tonys doing. Very sad and scary time for those still there.

Georgina did say they had been marking shop staff for the past few months without telling them, then they had to improve or else.” Some of them actually scored zero percent as they weren’t open to new things and many had blockages in their mind that let in negative thoughts”

Guys, could I ask that on behalf of the current staff, who through fear of losing their jobs have little or no voice, that someone contacts Joe Duffy or more newspapers to make more people aware of what’s going on. It grades people’s performance – RED if bad – AMBER if steady and GREEN if moving forward. The idea is to get rid of the REDs if they cannot move forward. I know a person who used to run a business, she was a Tony Quinn follower and was into it in a big way along with her family, they mixed with the Boyles and used to sit up the front of all the Tony Quinn meetings in Dublin every month. She too had a successful business and would credit Tony Quinn with a lot of the success of the company, she too would pressure her employees into going on Tony Quinn seminars and expect them to pay for it themselves or she would provide the loans and take the money out of their wages! She eventually gave Tony a percentage of her company for advice which was crazy, because he knew nothing about the business and it was down to her hard work and nothing else. Now the business is bust and Tony wasn’t around to help when it lacked funding or needed loans. Tony took his money and ran!! She went on two seminars and two or three mind masters, which were 50-60 grand a pop!
This theme of getting Tony Quinn followers to try and pressure their employees onto the seminars is another way for Tony to make more money as the numbers are getting smaller on his seminars and his old ways of recruiting people are not getting people!!! Plus nobody has the spare cash anymore!!
I personally met Mr Boyle a few times and I couldn’t believe how this successful businessman could be so in awe of Tony Quinn and his crap, it was like he was on a different planet and wouldn’t shut up about the information and Tony’s wisdom, in my opinion he was seriously brainwashed! He even got his own family into the Tony Quinn stuff also!
I personally did a seminar myself about 8 years ago and it was a bunch of horseshit, i was never really into the stuff in the first place and kind of got pressured into it! It was a nice holiday but not worth the money paid, and the information could be easily read in a book! Gorgina (Removed) while attending a seminar in the 90′s. I was lead to believe at the time that it was a positive move forward. What I saw was a complete take over of her mind. This is the way of cults. They’ll break you till submission. Keep your eye on the GREENS!

Boylesports is an increasingly successful company which started at just the right time and had insanely hard working people as the driving force behind this success. The more successful Boylesports has become it seems the more its CEO credits this success to Tony Quinn. (Removed) Everyone is entitled to believe in whatever theories/religions/cults they want to believe in. That is a personal choice. And I would like to emphasise 2 words there- “personal” & “choice”. (Removed) The real issue here is the blatant misuse of power by all involved in the “Academy for Success” by forcing the so called “training course on its staff”. (Removed) This so called “training course” in no way whatsoever reflects any of the qualifications, abilities, time or effort of the normal working staff on the ground who work through their lunches, work early in the morning til after their finishing times, who work for minimum wage in the shops with contracts that aren’t worth the paper they are written on. Boylesports employees work hard and get little reward for it- pay freezes ‘til 2013 when the company claims highest turnover in years(Removed). Everything about it undermines employee’s position in the company. The unexplained grading system that Georgina Dolan sees fit to implement into the Academy is incredulous. No employee should be put in a position where they can not say NO to something and unfortunately that is the case when it comes to this Tony Quinn based course and John Boyles attitude towards his staff members. Its always a case of divide and conquer. Keeping staff salaries low and expectations low but expect more more and more. (Removed) How much money is wasted on this exercise? When does it stop?
When will John Boyle realise he can not run a company like this? The stress, upset, anger, disillusion, helplessness this causes has such a negative effect on employee productivity that in the end the whole exercise is a huge waste of money and is counterproductive.
I hope this issue remains in the public eye. Once it is being highlighted in the media it means that John Boyle, his Tony Quinn staff and his legal team will be on red alert and will be treading softly softly and will hopefully cancel the whole thing and let employees get on with what they are paid to do – their jobs.
Sounds like John Boyle is flogging a dead horse. As long as he is associated with EDUCO (Removed) it will be difficult to get the message across. They may also be under pressure to recruit for seminars in the near future. What they are doing now ie undermining the staff’s already strong work ethic and paying very low wages is typical of how they operate in the TQ set-up. Nothing or no-one is ever good enough and even those who go along with the courses will find this applies to them as well. What they look for is out and out dedication to the TQ cause or, failing that, make courses and seminars part of your training; a necessity to keep your job position.
He has taken his eye off the ball (Gorgina is a terrible distraction) and on a losing streak. The only future John Boyle sees, and his blinkers are on, are hypnotically induced visualisations of the public acknowledging his grand achievement of opening the ‘Boylesports Academy of Success’ and the inevitable newspaper interview (conducted by Tony himself of course). It’s all in the mind, you know.
And by the way, they don’t care how much they upset anyone. In the Tony Quinn group they slowly break you down till you agree with what they say and if their tactics at undermining and bullying doesn’t work it usually results in workers getting angry and fearful of what is going to happen next. The only real course of action to put a stop to it is speaking openly about what is going on. As a former employee I cannot say I’m shocked by this. The management structure was my primary reason for getting out of there. In the time I was there it seemed like anybody with relevant industry experience was being shoved more and more into the shadows and replaced by yes men and blow ins from other industries with questionable qualifications.

The sad truth is those pair need deprogramming. They are in it (Tony Quinn’s programme) and don’t see it. From what I have read since this subject of Boylesports became public knowledge, it would be impossible for management to change their ways as their training/mind-set comes from attending seminars given by Tony Quinn. They get stuck in his ‘philosophy’ and ‘business’ practice that creates a slave labour mentality for the benefit of their ‘messiah’ and they want others to have this ‘clarity’ to bring about successful results. The experience of being under Quinn’s control creates a state of mind that totally focusses on the task. This, on the face of it, sounds good but Quinn’s heavy hypnotic influence causes off-putting changes in their approach to people who work for them and more a testimony to Quinn’s personality and his mind-bending techniques. They have lost their own way in life. If they are not in control of themselves how can they run a successful business?
