The Sanfords are gone, and Hade and Victory are to the fore. Issues around non payment of tax, court cases and a theology of prosperity are coming home to roost. A take over and church members being treated as commodities to be traded on the open market. Also members unable to detach long enough to see where this going, leaves many family members who had hoped the exit of the Sanfords would see an end to their nightmare realising they now must regroup and find ways to assist their families. So the systematic programming of the members using the high octane music and the now redundant money agenda has not evolved to critical reflection for those remaining.
The Abundant Life CC has closed down though its web site is still operating.
The members were informed that Brendan Hade was taking over the Church as the Sanfords were heading to Texas. There was an expectation they would come down every week.

Unlike a lot of people who lost property or did badly economically the likes of Sandfords and Hade promoted a Gospel of wealth and showed themselves to be false prophets (profits) when they started to implode. By closing down the church massive bills are left unpaid.
So we would have expected that Victory with its massive plant in Firhouse would put come in and deal with this problem.
But no we now find that there are financial issues around Brendan Hade and one of his associates Gerry Byrne?

What seemed to happen was that ABCC was closed down and another Church, The Living word was combined to start a new Church Victory West.
DI tried to contact Thomas Cooney to let him address the ethical issues at the heart of this ALCC business but to date we have received no reply.

So Gerry Bryne who is a pastor of victory in Dublin is also in court along with Pastor Hade and has a record for not paying his taxes. This is history repeating itself. Tom Cooney should come forward and make a statement in the absence of Pastor Hade or Gerry Bryne doing so.
The call for discernment videos were excellent – Please God ex-members will view them and make an informed decision to abstain from prosperity pastors.
I hope counselling is offered to those people who were brainwashed in Abundant Life and that they come to know true desciples of Jesus.

The opening words are quite profound! “The sanfords are gone……” seemingly a discerning member predicted quite accurately the churches demise in 2011! He was reported by (EX) (Former full time) staff members to heather and kevin as saying that the church was a “SINKING SHIP” and that their staff were “ROBOTS” (robots referring to the level of control heather had in their lives) He was confronted by kevin on this, and it was from this point that the rot started. This long serving member accused left the church soon after and is making a new and healthy life for himself! He has married a wonderful christian lady (and didnt have to ask heathers permission!)…..but look now, this former member was right, correct, spot on…….the sanfords ARE GONE!! no ship docking and the double annointing getting on……no…..they are GONE GONE GONE!!
Yes, agree with you, profound words GONE but be alert that they have attempted to sew a seed to continue to flourish their false teaching, brainwashing and control under the guise of “handing over” to the Hades and Living Word their “Abundant” church. After King of Kings Tuam, Sandfords, false evangalists feeding on the genuine searching of Jesus to promote and sustain their own wealthy, wordly lives now is the time for STOP STOP STOP.
I think it will be up to the ALCC members to take a stand and to leave the new set up as quickly as possible to save themselves further suffering, pain and anguish.

Where is the evidence to support that Victory is struggling financially.??I would love to read it as I left there when I was shown that they are wolves in sheeps clothing.Its just a form of capitalism..I do beleive in the financial favour of God but not from members within a church.

Its great to realize that others are now seeing what I saw as an ex member of victory. They are frauds, the leadership that is not the flock, just look at their website they have taken down the second names of their home group leaders. They are scared of the media AND HAVE LOTS TO HIDE..they preach prosperity yet an ex home group leader of mine is in huge debt and probably cant even pay his mortgage yet drives a big car yet lives of credit WHAT AN UNEDUCATED FOOL.Alot bought hoses during peak times and lost a fortune im sure…
I don’t think somebody buying a house at the peak and now funding themselves in debt makes them any different to most people in Ireland. If the point you are making is that ‘ you would expect this not to happen’ to the church leaders as they are close to God. That is a different story. The prosperity gospel is a farce.
Regarding disclosure of their personal finances, I believe people wish not to say exactly who or what as it will lead straight to the source within victory. It does involve Brendan Hade who has a lot of debt. More than Kevin Sanford ever had.
ok Im not talking about everyday people who bought like everyone else and are now in negative equity.Im talking about Hade who used to preach and say one house wasnt enough and that the philistines were envious of the Israelites and so should the world be of us believers. You have to ask why a 70 + old man has such debts and how he intends to pay for them.
I thought the new building was paid for and was debt free..didnt all the tithes and offerings over say 20 yrs pay it..how about gerry byrne and mark fennel are they also in debt??have you gone to victory or are u an ex member..when I was there I was shocked to leave and actually cried to myself but knew i couldnt stay but had built up friends and guess what you lose them all when u leave..I had people say to me the scripture do not touch the Lords anointed..so basically dont speak against them..it wouldnt surprise me they want to take over galway and treat it as a business..thats what they are probably doing with victory city centre…they are prob teaching more on tithes than they have ever done…Is he millionas in Debt..??I was always led to believe brendan hade was worth about 10 million.
I would rather not reveal my involvement with Victory. Gerry is back in court with Brendan at the end of Jan 2012. Gerry Bryne has also a conviction for not paying income tax in 2001. Mark has been in hot water recently for his support of Abundant Life, Kevin Sanford and his role on Spirit FM has also been questioned as a result. Spirit had a space in Galway earlier in the year and a spokesperson for spirit asked the congregation to support the Sanfords more. Spirit FM s credibility and integrity has been questioned in many circles as a result.
Because Victory is set up as a trust they do not have to publicize their accounts.
There is no better example of wolves dressed as sheep. They always maintain they have been blesses by God. Are we not forgetting Kevin Sanford boasting of such prosperity in the past. Brendan Hade, Thomas Cooney have no different a view. They are all same.

Sorry but if Tom Cooney is involved with Brendan Hade that does not put a very good image in my head or heart. Hade is trouble he is bad news and finding himself in the courts is a perfect example of what I mean. The problem is it seems quite acceptable in the eyes of the congregation of ALC to have your pastor dragged through the courts.

Victory Galway is already starting to lose members. Why is this? The honeymoon period where members were willing to give the new set up a try is over and members are starting to leave. Also because Heather is no longer around and controlling things means people have made decisions a lot easier without the abuse of Heather and Kevin.
Victory Galway is really a case of rearranging the deck chairs/ sun loungers on the decks of the Titanic!
It is a little surreal to think that Heather gone! The source of the abuse has left our shores! Great for Ireland, not so good for EL Paso! Kevin is guilty too, but heather is at the root of the issues. People are calling on Thomas Cooney to verify if abuses were taking place in ALCC, well, he probably won’t ever admit it, there is too much at stake for him, but there were, and now many, especially staff are starting out on the long road of recovery from the brainwashing and the years lost! Tragic!

What happened in the High Court on 30th Jan, what was the case about? and was there any truth in what has been said of Victory.
The court case is ongoing. Brendan Hade has changed his legal team which people would wonder why? There was a discovery which in legal terms means an order on both sides to make available information to the other parties ahead of a potential hearing. This will probably drag on for sometime.
